1-Hour Walk: Málaga, Torremolinos, Córdoba

Andalucía's Mediterranean coast and Moorish-influenced interior meet in this hour-long compilation, moving between three very different southern Spanish cities. Córdoba, the westernmost stop chronologically in the walk, was once the capital of Moorish Al-Andalus and is still centered on its old town around the Mezquita-Catedral, a former mosque converted into a cathedral and now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

From there the walk moves to Torremolinos, a beach resort town on the Costa del Sol just outside Málaga, built up through the 20th century as one of Spain's first major package-tourism destinations for northern European visitors. The final stretch covers central Málaga itself — the birthplace of Pablo Picasso and the largest city on this stretch of coast, with a working port and a historic center built around its Alcazaba fortress.

Filmed in January 2024, the walk shows all three places in their quieter winter atmosphere rather than the crowds of peak summer season.
