Syntagma Square and Greek Parliament Webcam

Travel back to Athens in 2020, shortly after COVID-19 restrictions began to ease.

This short walking video captures a rare moment in the Greek capital, with almost empty streets, very few tourists, and unusually quiet public spaces. The route passes through Syntagma Square, the National Garden, the Hellenic Parliament, and Ermou Street, offering a unique glimpse of Athens during an extraordinary period in history.

The day was also exceptionally hot, reaching 37°C (99°F), encouraging many locals to head to the beach instead of the city center.
